This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid is all-new. The main difference between it and all other Camry models is that it has a gasoline/electric hybrid powertrain that is able to provide exceptional fuel economy. The Camry Hybrid also benefits from the 2007 Camry full redesign, as well.

Pros:
  • Roomy cabin, efficient hybrid powertrain, stronger acceleration than many regular four-cylinder family sedans.
Cons:
  • More expensive than most other Camry styles, small trunk.

  • Nearing perfection - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

I bought the car for commuting about 120 miles per day. The car has performed flawlessly. It has consistently gotten about 37 MPG driving at 70 to 80 MPH up down a mountain pass (climb is about 2500 feet). The car has surprising power (passing on the mountain uphills is no problem). The car is fun to drive and handles well. And, it constantly reminds you to conserve in driving by having an "MPG" gauge instead of an RPM gauge and by having the dash board display a deeper blue the better you are with gas. If you want a car that is comfortable and fun, gives great gas mileage, has room for more than one person, has plenty of power, chose this one.

  • Its a hit! - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

The Camry hybrid is an excellant blend of comfort, performance and ecomony. Quiet and well built, its been perfect right "out of the box". Its averaging 37 MPG and we expect it to do even better after the break in period.

  • Best car we ever bought--get one now! - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Have had it for 3 weeks and about 1200 miles. We are just thrilled with this car! The combination of sophistication, engineering, convenience features, styling and value are unbelieveable! The quality is excellent -- first car we ever bought that did not have to go back for any "adjustments". It is fun and nimble and incredibly silent. Pick up is fair, but if you step on it the engine and electric motor together give it some kick. Mileage in January has been 34-35. The single setting heated seats work very well. The turquoise center stack around the nav screen is too bright and when you dim it the gauges are not bright enough. Try an after market interior wood kit -- awesome!

Good car. Seating could be more comfortable, mileage has averaged around 35.

  • Update at 1800 miles - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

At 1,800 miles I couldnt be happier with the Camry Hybrid. Went 502 miles on just under three quarters of a tank and averaged 39.2. The trip included steep mountain freeway driving. It handles well, has ample power and is extremely quiet except on the roughest of roads. Overall mpg is 36. Try to drive 70 mph when it is safe to do so. At a steady 65 on relatively flat road I would expect to average 40+ mph.

Excellent acceleration for an economy hybrid. Less than 8 sec to 60 mph. And it gets good mileage so far - about 37 mpg. It isnt a sports car, but it handles well; is quiet on the highway; and seats are comfortable.

  • Love my Hybrid - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Has as much or more power than any prev. vehicle Ive owned. Very quick take offs when needed! Really performs well. Hugs the curves. Has a smooth ride, almost like gliding, especially in electric mode. First couple tanks of gas, we got just over 36 MPG, but that has consistently gotten better. The stereo is out of this world!! I think it comes standard. This car has been mistaken for higher end cars, one thought it was a Lexus, another thought it was a Mercedes. People always overestimate the price of the car. Overall, I LOVE THIS CAR!!!

  • Awesome gas mileage! Roomy too! - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Wife was tired of the gas guzzling GMC Envoy so we read up on the hybrids and concluded the Camry the best choice after the test drive. The options and extras are what you would find in a Lexus, really nice! Quiet, classy, comfortable ride, and the most FUN Ive had driving a car in a long time. The wife loved it so much, she wouldnt let me drive it, so I went out and bought me one. Traded in my 2001 Montana minivan and am having a blast with it. I am 62, 340 plus and have more than enough room to enjoy the ride. The best road mileage I have gotten is 52.7 mpg going 60 mph (no a/c). Best in the city was 44.3 mpg. It constantly beats the sticker ratings of 40/38 all the time!

  • Great Car - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

I love driving this car. Its my 5th Camry; this one surpasses all of the previous models. Theres nothing like the sound of silence in stop and go traffic!

  • 3 Years now and I still love my car! - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid
    By -

Ive had the 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid for over 3 years now and I still love it. It has a very comfortable ride with a solid, heavy feel that I like. Ive taken many long roadtrips with this car - an 8 hour trip - 6 hour trip - several 3 hour trips and I drive to the shore every weekend from the Philly area. I have 2 large dogs that ride in the back seat for all of my trips and they just sleep. Ive even taken the car camping a few times with lots of equipment - tents, tarps, aerobeds, cots, camping chairs, tables, coolers, etc. The trunk holds way more than youd think. Oh and if you set cruise control at 72 mph for a 2 hour trip youll get around 41 mpg!! Ive done that a few times.
